Dancing Star Nagaland (DSN), a reality dance contest with its theme “Beats for Brotherhood” is set to reach out to all the dancers of Nagaland. DSN with its main objective of moulding the young immature dancers of Nagaland has aimed to provide national level platform like ‘Dance India Dance’ and other national contest to deserving dancers of Nagaland who are worthy of such platform.
DSN is organized by R-Gen Group, a team of five enthusiastic and energetic youths namely ¬¬¬¬Ilungwangbe Nsa Zeliang, Bityut Mitra, Lithrongchum T. Sangtam, Rampau H. Zeliang, and Dr. Azidi Rangkau.
DSN will be showcased as a non-profit charitable show that plans for charitable contributions towards orphanages, old age homes, charity trusts and help the needy through the little earnings. The board also highlighted that the objectives would be to bring peace and harmony among all the Naga’s and religions living within Nagaland, showing the love of brotherhood to one another and to help each other.
The show has plans of roping in renowned artists as Judges and host and also introduce renowned Artist/Musicians/Producers /DJ/Dancers/Bollywood stars as special guests during the contest.
DSN will have single and group category with no age limit where anybody living in Nagaland can part take in the competition. All the four winners with 1 finalist from each category will be provided professional dance course in reputed institutions. Best performance for every round will also be rewarded. Costumes, make ups, medical insurances and transportation cost will be provided by the organizers.
DSN is open to all kind of popular dance styles like acro, ballet, jazz classical, Hip-hop, lyrical, modern, contemporary, tap etc.
The organizers have high hopes on the upcoming contest and also plan to become a recognized board for launching the career for new talented dancers as bona-fide stars. The winner of the single category will walk away with a cash prize of Rs. 1,50,000 and also prize money for the first runners up. While the winner of the group category a sum of Rs. 2,00,000 and prize money for the first runners up. The show shall also provide choreographers to the contestants if they needed one.
