IT&C launchese- services- scholarship forms

As part of concluding function of Digital India Week, Department of Information Technology and Communication launched e-services- scholarship forms and public grievances redressal at Secretariat Conference Hall, here Wednesday. 
Speaking as the chief guest, ACS & Development Commissioner, IAS, R Benchilo Thong said that the launch of e-services- filling scholarships and grievances redressal through the state web portal would show positive result in empowering the lives of citizens.   
Benchilo appealed to the respective nodal officers of the department to look into the grievances put up in the web portal.
Delivering the opening remarks, Commissioner and Secretary IT & C, ITS, K D Vizo said students would be able to apply for scholarships, by logging into the state portal and fill up the online forms directly without travelling from distant places. 
He said that department of higher and technical education would be paying the scholarship directly to the student’s account number.
Vizo said that public grievance redressal system for nine departments would be extended to all other departments. 
He said that grievance redressal primarily deals with the receipt and processing of complaints from citizens and consumers by covering complaints such as- service unavailability, non-delivery against commitment, excessive delays, injustice relating to race or caste, staff misbehaviours, malpractices etc. Vote of thanks was delivered by joint director & HOD IT & C Tongtiliba Longkumer.

E-marathon races in Longleng, Wka and Phek
Joining the rest of the nation, e-marathon race was held at Longleng town on Wednesday, flagged off by the deputy commissioner Longleng, Denngan Avennoho Phom. The race organised by district administration which started from Bhumnyu village junction and culminated at the local ground. The programme was attended by HoDs, teachers, police and NGOs.  
Altogether 260 students from government and private schools joined the race, divided into male and female categories. The top three winners in both categories were awarded latest smart phones and 10 consolation prize of 8 GB pen drive for both categories. 
The winners in the male category were Ishau Phom of GHS Nyenching, Baushen Phom of GHSS Longleng and N. Henyei Phom of Christ King school won the first, second and third prizes respectively, while in the female category the winners respectively were Nymkap Phom of Good Shepherd high school, Nyenthei Phom of GHSS Longleng and Bangying Phom of GHSS Longleng. 
E-marathon was also jointly organised by district administration and Information Technology & Communication (IT&C), Wokha on June 6 which was flagged off by the deputy commissioner A. Robin Lotha. 
DC in his flag off address stressed on the ‘Digital India Week’ and its aim to make all citizens digitally literate by bringing internet and e-governance to all section of society. 
85 participated and the winners of the race respectively were Liah Yanthan, Nchumbeni Ezung and Orenboni Tsopoe, all from DBHSS. In the male category the winners were Longshithung R. Kithan of DBHSS, Yentsao of Mt. Tiyi college and Chichanbemo O. Kithan of DBHSS.   
The winners were awarded with Smart phones to the top three in both the categories along with twenty 8 GB pen drives as consolation prizes and certificates of participation were also given to all the participants.
 In Phek, e-marathon was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Murohu Chotso DC was impressed by huge turnout.
In male category, the winners were, first- KutoVese, Second- Zulamo, Thirth- Vehuto Nienuwho while in women category, Vephulu Hoshi finished first followed by Hukulu,  and Tusovelu Puro in second and third positions.
