Financial literacy awareness prog in Thizama village

One day Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (FLAP) was conducted by Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) attached to Nagaland state cooperative bank limited, main branch, Kohima with support from Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) and managed by NABARD on July 10 at Thizama village, Kohima, panchayat hall. 
During the programme, the participants comprising members of village council, VDB, GBs, women society, students, pensioners, farmers and SHG were sensitized to take informed financial decisions and to avail financial products from banks. 
Resource persons of the programme were LIC senior branch manager M. Kath, UCO bank branch manager Khrielie Pienyu, Axis bank AVP and branch head Nikato Sema, NStCB branch manager Vizo Kere and NABARD assistant general manager Bendang Aier. 
Discussion on the importance of financial planning and presentations on Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) including the recently launched Social Security Schemes, namely, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana(PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) were highlighted at the programme . The programme was followed by an interactive session where queries from the participants were responded by the resource persons.
