Akuk Students’ Union inspects schools

Two-day inspection of school was conducted by Akuk Students’ Union (ASU) in four schools, at Akuk village under Wokha district in the month of July. 
In a press statement, ASU president Raben Lotha said during the inspection, the union has found that the performance and management as “satisfactory”. 
ASU claimed that the only High School in Akuk  village since its upgradation in 2012 has been functioning without headmaster and high school teachers. The union said it also found that the high school enrollment and result of the students were found to be better than many government high schools.  It said the high school was being run by middle school teachers who are facing difficulty in managing the school. 
Further ASU has appealed the principal director of school education to look into the matter at the earliest with concern for the progress of the students.
