Kohima police manning Peducha check gate while conducting routine checking and frisking on August 6 intercepted one Maruti Van B/R No. AS-02H-9973 and recovered 150 kgs of contraband ganja.
According to Sub – Divisional Police Officer & PRO Atu Zumvü two persons identified as Sikandar Indwar (21 yrs) son of Anthres Indwar from Kharia village, Bokajan Karbi Anlong, Assam and Y. Velie (20 yrs) son of Yunü from Paomata village, Tadubi Senapati, Manipur were arrested for possession and transportation of the banned contraband. In this connection, a regular case vide Sechü (Zubza) case no. 0024/2015 U/S 20 (b) (c) NDPS Act has been registered against them for conducting further investigation.
