Naga Hoho on Sunday asserted that state government should be prepared to pave way if solution to the Naga political issue is arrived at.
Speaking to Nagaland Post over phone Sunday, NH president P. Chuba Ozukum said that government should be prepared to pave way as committed to the Nagas, to let the new system take place as transitional period would not take place under the present regime.
As for ENPO it was learnt that it would not make any comment on the Accord unless the content of the agreement was made known. However ENPO has earlier stated that it will reject any Accord, if it was not acceptable to all Nagas.
Former NPCC president and advisor Urban Development S.I. Jamir said they would stand by its commitment in paving way, if solution to the Naga issue was arrived at, at any time. He reiterated that it was a commitment made in the interest of the Nagas.
NPF, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu on his part said he was seriously examining the matter and the party stand would be made known to the public within a few days.
It may be recalled that various political parties in the state including the NPF-led DAN government had stated, on many occasions that the government was prepared to pave way, if an honourable and acceptable solution was arrived at. Dr. Shürhozelie reaffirmed that the Naga political issue was the priority for the DAN government.
