1 drowned at Chathe

A Naga youth who had reportedly gone to Chathe River along with his friend to bathe, drowned on Sunday afternoon. According to police sources, the youth identified as one Matsungshiba had gone along with his friend to take bath at Chathe River when the incident occurred. Police said that the victim’s friend, who tried to rescue him, also alerted people in and around that area. With their help, the victim was rescued and was rushed to CIHSR hospital, police said, however he was declared brought dead.
