Governor graces TGOUN annual fashion show

Nagaland Governor P.B. Acharya graced the 4th annual fashion show of The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) here on Thursday as the chief guest. 
The function was held on the, theme, “colors of the North east” supported by de Oriental grand hotel. 
In his speech, governor Nagaland highlighted the importance of preserving one’s culture and identity and warned of imitating others.
Asserting that Nagas have rich and vibrant culture, he encouraged them to preserve it. He also deliberated on the talent, heritage and rich culture of India and said the country has potential to become a “great nation” because if it.
Governor said 68% of India’s population comprise of youth which he termed as a “great asset” for the nation.
The programme was hosted by Ruth K Chang, welcome note was delivered by Dr. H.N. Dutta vice chancellor TGOUN, panel of judges were Theja Meru (entrepreneur), Kerehienuo Sorhie (lecturer FT dept. govt. of polytechnic Kohima) and Regina Chakriinuo (faculty member FT dept. TGOUN Kohima). Thejasilie Sekhose was the fashion photographer and Rakovi Mocha as the make artist.
The following team enthralled the audience with their fashion show “Tears of Warriors”, “Surreal Meadows”, “Masquerade”, “Black Classic”, design by Neishe Puro, Sashibenla, Kudulu Sapuh and Riilhouvonuo respectively. BBA FD 2nd year students FT department TGOUN also presented ancestral warrior. Oren Mozhui and Kekhriesenuo Ringa presented special songs while vote of thanks was proposed by Sentitola Ao the event co-ordinator. 
Neishe Puro and Rülhouvonuo were declared best creativity and best designer respectively and the chief guest gave away the prizes to them.
Parliamentary secretary higher education and technical Deo Nukhu, other dignitaries, fashion lovers witnessed the fashion show.
