Sangtams celebrate Mongmong in Kisetheir

Kisetheir villagers also joined their fellow brethren in others state by celebrating Mongmong festival. The celebration was graced by EAC Kiphire, Longtiba Sangtam as chief guest.
Extending Mongmong’s greetings to the villagers, the chief guest said he was overwhelmed to witness the love and unity among the people. He urged the villagers to continue with the same momentum not only during festivals but in their daily life. EAC said the village has produced many responsible citizens and honest offices due to the unity they maintained. 
The formal programme was chaired by Tsitingse Snagtam while head GB Chumpise Sangtam delivered welcome address.
Cultural dances by both men and women troupes enthralled the gathering. 
Meanwhile, Langzanger Village Union Kiphire Town, Yingphire Union Kiphire and different unions and Villages under Kiphire district observed Mongmong festival. 
Mongmong, a premium festival of the Sangtams is observed from September 1 to 6. Sangtams living across Nagaland is observing this festival.
