NCD not to be part of ACAUT’s ‘common platform’

September 9, 2015 | by admin

Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has decided not to take part in the proposed ‘Common Platform’ on “Naga opinion on peaceful settlement” called by ACAUT to be held on September 12 at DDSC stadium.
A press release issued by NCD general secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam, stated that the decision was made during its second councillor general meeting Tuesday at the NCD unity hall.
While appreciating the peace accord signed between NSCN (I-M) and Centre, NCD stated that “for an amicable permanent settlement, consultation with all tribal Hoho’s must be the base before final settlement of the decades old Indo-Naga political solution.” The council also expressed appreciation to state chief minister for urging upon the Centre to include Dimapur in the ‘smart cities project’.
