AR nabs 2 with arms and ammu

Two arms smugglers were apprehended by combined troops of 37 and 32 Assam Rifles and on two separate operations and recovered three weapons and ammunitions. 

On September 12, the AR troops under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles conducted a joint operation in general area, Diphupar. 

During operation, one person identified as Hanto (45) a resident of Nokyan was apprehended alongwith one. 22 automatic pistol and six live rounds. 

In a similar operation, on September 14 at New Chumukedima Village, 37 Assam Rifles apprehended one person identified as Kauobeizo Angami (45), resident of New Chumukedima Village alongwith one .22 Rifle, one 12 bore gun and 49 rounds of live assorted ammunition.

According to AR sources, both operations were conducted on the basis of information.
