Rev. Dr. I. Wati Longkumer takes over as general secretary IMA

Rev. Dr. I. Wati Longkumer took over as general secretary of India Missions Association (IMA) on October 1.

NBCC in a press release had congratulated the new incumbent who had earlier served as director of the Nagaland Mission Movement from 2008-14, thereafter he was deputed by the NBCC as missionary to IMA at Zumpha Tseminyu. 

Prior to 2008 he and his family were NMM missionaries at Cambodia since 1996. He has also served in the youth department of CBCNEI, Ao Baptist Church Shillong and Clark Theological College, Aolijen. 

The IMA is the apex umbrella body for missions in India and majority of mission agencies and churches involved in missions are members. 

Further IMA based in Hyderabad is a charter member of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA).
