Trg on IPM and packages in Meluri

ATMA Meluri block, Phek conducted farmer’s award and training on integrated pest management (IPM) and packages and practices of garden pea on October 3, at Meluri town with Agriculture Officer (AO) Meluri Phrumasie and BTM Ekonthung Odyuo as resource persons. During training resource persons said IPM was an ecological approach that minimizes pest below danger level by employing all available pest control techniques like mechanical, biological, chemical and crop management in compatible manners. They also apprised the farmers on the importance of packages and practices of garden pea. 

Farmer’s award for Meluri block 2014-15 was bagged by Lamnei. The programme was chaired by farmer’s friend Asü while invocation prayer was said by Zürhotshü. A total of 15 farmers attended the training.
