Three-day training on phonetics concludes

Three-day phonetics training for teachers in collaboration with Jolly phonetics, UK, organized by directorate of school education culminated Saturday at Zonal Council hall, Kohima.
The trainer person Jolly Phonics UK, Mumbai principal Shainaz Jussa, who also conducted the training in Dimapur earlier, expressed joy of being in Nagaland. She thanked the department for giving the opportunity to reach Nagaland and expressed wish to come and teach again before the start of the next academic session. She said teaching the enthusiastic teachers and to have the attention of the teachers for the last three days was challenging. In her conclusion remark, the trainer Shainaz asked the teachers to take back what was learned during the three days to the students as the programme is “child friendly”. She reminded that teachers to be friendly with the children saying children need to have fun while learning. 
Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Neithonuo thanked the trainer stating that the three days was very fun and has benefitted the trainees immensely. SDEO Rokovolhoulie Nagi also thanked the trainer for coming to Nagaland to train the teachers and said if the same could be introduced in the state then the future generation would have more refined educational system.
Shainaz Jussa also contributed free text books to the department to be distributed during the next academic session. Altogether 30 teachers from six government schools attended the three days training.
