Dimapur police has arrested four persons in connection with theft of a vehicle in separate incidents, additional Deputy Commissioner of police (ADCP), Dimapur said in a statement Monday.
Three persons were arrested on October 7, for lifting a Mahindra Bolero Pick-up from Burma Camp Dimapur on October 3. The arrested have been identified as Ghukato Zhimo son of Khekuto Zhimo, Tokugha Sumi son of Lovikhe Sumi and Ikavi Sumi son of Heqhuto Sumi. Investigation is on to trace the stolen vehicle.
In another incident, one person was caught red-handed while attempting to steal a vehicle parked inside Ao Baptist Church Padampukhuri premises on October 11.
The arrested was identified as Shikato Achumi son of Hovuto Achumi of Tichipami village, ADCP said. The incident took place on Sunday during church service. Equipments, including keys were found from his possession. Case has been registered for further investigation into the case, ADCP said.
