Annual literary day of Government High School, Kutsapo was conducted from October 9-10, with assistant professor PGC, Niwe Mero as a special guest.
On the occasion, Mero told the students that literary day was an occasion where one could utilise, exercise and exhibit whatever, they learnt at school.
To this, he encouraged the students to take pride in being differently gifted and to have the tendency to compete with other students in the towns and cities. Mero also lamented on the lack of competition amongst the students, particularly in rural areas, which he said was affecting their academic performances. He further pointed out that competition was not to create feelings of envy or jealousy rather it was meant for judging one’s abilities and potentials to excel.
In the competition, Veposheyi won the best debator award “science is a blessing”. In the essay “environment protection”, Red house emerged as the winner followed by Blue and Green houses in second and third places. Apart from this, competitions on various activities were also conducted.
