In a major to those ex-servicemen in Mokokchung, a community centre for ex-servicemen (army and Assam Rifles) was inaugurated Tuesday at Mokokchung.
The centre was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. Bipin Rawat, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM GOC, Hq 3 CORPS.
The newly inaugurated centre consists of all the required facilities to be utilized by the ex-servicemen.
Besides the centre, a four fully furnished guest rooms was also inaugurated by the Lt. Gen, which is adjacent to the centre. Lt. Gen unveiled the plague for the centre and gave the honour to cut the ribbon for the centre to ex-servicemen Tekatiyong of Chungtia village, the oldest ex-servicemen present at the event.
This centre is considered as the first of its kind in the entire north east India.
