Government High School Angjanyang and Government High School Mopong run without Head Master (HM) and Assistant Headmaster (AHM), Mopong Hongkong Students’ Union (MHSU) has requested the department of school education to post the same in both the schools.
In a release MHSU president, A.H Wanmei stated that besides poor infrastructures and poor basic amenities, there are only four teachers at GHS Angjangyang while there was not a single mathematics teacher in GHS Mopong.
MHSU questioned the department as how the school can produce good result where there was no proper set of teaching faculties and controlling officers.
Meanwhile, parliamentary secretary CD, HG and Sericulture E.E Pangteang visited the GHS Angjangyang and GHS Mopong on November 5 and 6 and convened meeting in both the schools. Pangteang has advised the students of class-10 to study hard and yield good results in the forth coming HSLC exam. To encourage the students, the parliamentary secretary also assured to award a cash of Rs. 10,000 each to the successful candidates of HSLC 2016 examination.
