Ngunying Apoung was crowned Miss Mon 2015 during a gala event at Council Hall, Mon Town under the theme ‘Essence of Women’ on November 3.
The event was organised by Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), the apex body of Konyak women.
Member of Parliament, Nagaland Neiphiu Rio was the chief guest of the event. Welcome address was delivered by B Lomei Konyak, KNSK president. Besides the top slot, Ngunying Apoung also won the Miss Beautiful Skin subtitle.
First runner-up title went to Mongkhao Mercy, who also won the Miss Photogenic subtitle while second runner-up was bagged by N Ngeamying.
Other subtitles holders were Miss Congeniality- Ngappon, Miss Perfect Ten- Ngepkai and Miss Talented- Shuiyan.
KNSK has thanked all those whose contributions made the event a success.
