A joint team of South traffic control DEF Kohima and anti-extortion team nabbed one person for robbing businessman in Kohima, SDPO-cum-PRO Kohima police Atu Zumvü said Thursday.
According to PRO, traffic personnel at AG point received complaint from a businessman that he had been robbed of Rs. 5900 by a miscreant. Following which traffic personnel along with anti-extortion team swung into action and after a hot pursuit apprehended the miscreant at AG road. The arrested person was identified as Krowe Kazhie (36) son of Pfukrunyi Kazhie.
During preliminary investigation, PRO said it was also ascertained from the arrested person, that he had snatched Rs. 10,700 from another businessman of TCP gate, Kohima few days back. In this connection, a regular case has been registered against the accused at Kohima South PS.
