Following a complaint filed by Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (NBSE) chairman on November 21regarding the question paper leak of class IX final exam, Dimapur Police arrested eight persons out of which seven were juveniles. According to Addl. DCP & PRO Dimapur police, Mt. Hermon School headmaster, S.K. Sejoy Lamkang, his son and six others were apprehended. Seven of them were later forwarded to Juvenile Justice Board. Police also traced and seized all the leaked question papers from different students, PRO said. Police said Lamkang violated the rules and had kept the confidential packed exam question papers at his residence. Though Lamkang informed NBSE about the matter (paper leak) and the alleged involvement of his son, it has jeopardized the entire examination to be conducted across the state, PRO said. Lamkang is being investigated upon for charges of criminal breach of trust and other related offences, police said.
