Two-day, 11th annual session of K. Hollohon Colony Students’ Union (KHCSU) got underway here Friday. The inaugural programme was graced by former councilor Dimapur Municipal Council, Pukhavi Yepthomi as chief guest and Dimapur Government College, principal, Kuholi Chishi as speaker. In his address, Pukhavi told the students that their first and foremost objective should be fear in the Lord, while seeking to attain good education. Secondly, he said as students and citizens, it was the bounded duty to respect the laws and constitution of the land.
Reminding the students that there was no substitute in pursuing education and that good behavior and discipline was needed for excellence, he urged the students to do their work hard, assignments and home-works regularly while maintaining timetable in their activities.
While challenging the students to never give up work hard to achieve success, Pukhavi said, “if you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” He also hoisted the union’s flag. On the occasion, Faith in Action team displayed martial arts demonstration while Vilivi Muru presented a special number. Earlier, GB Kawoto delivered welcome address and Shikuto Jimo proposed vote of thanks. Kihito Chisho chaired the function.
