GPRN/NSCN condemns AR raids

GPRN/NSCN has condemned the frequent raids carried out by Assam Rifles at the residence of its members.
In a release, GPRN/NSCN MIP said, many at times it raised the issue of “random” raids and “tortures” meted out to its members but Assam Rifles still continues.  
Recently Assam Rifles “tortured” the family members of Imyapanga Ao, deputy kilonser of Law & Justice, GPRN/NSCN. With no evidence, but speculations that Kilonser of possessing two.32 hand guns, the Assam rifles raided the residence at 3:30 am for more than one and half hour but nothing was found, MIP said. During the raid, the house was completely ransacked and Assam Rifles personnel “even going to the extent of checking the body of the Kilonser’s wife”, which the GPRN/NSCN termed it as an utter violation of the Ceasefire ground rules.  GPRN/NSCN observed that continuation of such raids and immature behaviour was not only an act of mocking the Ceasefire ground rules, but also an act of provocation. It therefore, urged the concerned authorities to instruct and educate their boys on the ceasefire ground rules.
