MTLT presents Squadron’s 25th anniversary concert

Biggest free concert in Mokokchung; 18 bands from Nagaland to take stage
It is touted to be one of the biggest free concerts in Mokokchung town, the Squadron Silver Jubilee Celebration 2015 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex which will feature some of the well known bands and singers from all over the state and even from abroad.
Organized by the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT), the Squadron Silver Jubilee Celebration free concert is being celebrated as recognition of the contributions of Squadron band in the field of music, and also as a tribute to all the rock bands and the musicians, past and present, from Mokokchung.
With Mokokchung town all radiating with festivities and because of the concert being organized by the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (an influential youth organization in the town), the December 29th concert, is the talk of the town. With this in mind, the MTLT has left no stone unturned to make the concert for the music lovers of Nagaland a night to be remembered.
Meanwhile, keeping their roots and love for music alive, Minister for NH, Mechanical Engineering & Election, Nuklutoshi Longkumer has consented to be the chief guest. Other prominent dignitaries led by NLA Deputy Speaker, Imtikumzuk Longkumer; Principal Secy to CM & Finance Commissioner – Temjen Toy;  former Nagaland Chief Secretary – Alemtemshi Jamir (IAS); NEZCC Director – Lipokmar Tzudir; Addl Director of IPR – Limawati Longchar; and Class-1 contractor NPWD Jemti Ao.
Besides, the dignitaries and thousands of music lovers witnessing the concert, well-known musicians will be sharing the stage with the Squadron band. Altogether eighteen bands and singers have already confirmed participation in this biggest free concert in Mokokchung town.
The stage is surely going to be set on fire by Squadron’s contemporary band like Vanadium, which is a household name for those who grew up in the nineties.
The young upcoming bands like TUNE UP CHANNEL, INFUSE, RAPTURE, DICE, EMBER, FUNK FUZZ, SOUL AND BLUES, 75 GIANTS, ACES, SCAN WHEELS, JONATHAN AND BAND, MATANG, CHUBANUNGLA LONGCHAR, TUBE SCREEAMER, and 2015 INTER-SCHOOL BEAT CONTEST WINNER.
The show would not only be confined to Mokokchung town as artists and music lovers from Wokha District will be joining in the grand occasion. Besides, a musician couple based in Germany – Mr & Mrs Aren – will be entertaining the audience along with the array of performers.
With the countdown for the concert already started, the bands and musicians are busy practicing with the aim to present their best, keeping in mind that this concert is being organized as a special treat to the people of Mokokchung. The stage is being completed, the MTLT’s different sub-committees are burning midnight-oil so that this concert will be memorable in many ways.
