Parliamentary Working Committee of Nagaland Legislators Forum on Monday decided to send a delegation to Delhi on February 15 to meet senior national and regional political party leaders.
The decision was made during its meeting held on Monday at Kohima.
According to a press statement from the CMO, the delegation would be meeting central leaders to emphasize on the need to have all groups in the talks and also to request for an early settlement of the Naga issue which is acceptable to Nagas.
This has been necessitated to apprise the leaders of the country, the need for an early solution acceptable to all, and to request the leaders to support any acceptable and honourable solution as and when the matter is taken up in the Parliament, CMO stated.
In its first sitting on July 6, 2015, the committee had resolved to request the Naga Hoho and ENPO to send a delegation to meet SS Khaplang, NSCN (K) chairman, after consultations with NGOs to convey the desire and request of the people of Nagaland for resumption of the Ceasefire Agreement with the Government of India. Later, the members on July 16-17, 2015 also met the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Minister of state for Home as well as the Interlocutor for Naga talks RN Ravi.
