KASU supports six-pt demand

February 24, 2016 | by admin

Kiphire Area Students’ Union (KASU) has strongly supported the six-point demand of United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) and the Akehda Sangtam Thsingmüjanglaru (AST) over the killing of T. Alemba Sangtam and his wife Naro by unidentified gunmen near Yayi bridge on February 6.
Stating that it has full confidence with the agencies for setting up SIT committee, KASU expressed hope that justice would be delivered at the earliest.  However, KASU warned that failing to arrest those preceptors within the stipulated time, it would stand up for justice.
The union said that it would not remain a silent spectator but would fight till justice delivered. It therefore, urged upon the law enforcing agencies to investigate and book those perpetrators at the earliest.
KASU also warned of stern action against any individuals involved in unlawful act and destructive attitudes in the area.
