
Chief Medical Office, Peren district under the chairmanship of CMO, Dr. Ngangshimeren held its monthly district review meeting cum official launching of LLIN at CMO conference hall, Tuesday.
In the meeting, CMO highlighted on February 2016 health workers performance and also lauded health workers who have been working sincerely in their field.
Discussion was also held regarding difficulties faced by the health workers and it was mentioned that Jalukie CHC was in urgent need of generator and Azailong PHC in need of inverter.
Deputy CMO, Dr. Tiala Longkumer urged the health workers to cross check their reports and she also gave a review regarding performance and reports of health units –April 2015- Dec 2015 (HMIS).
She highlighted that register/records should be strictly and timely updated and records should be maintained, while earnestly requesting the medical officers to cross check the reports before submitting and also to sign it. Long Lasting Insecticides Treated Bed Nets (LLIN) under NVBDCP for Peren block was officially launched by DVBO (NVBDCP), Dr. Limatula.
She highlighted about the distribution of LLIN and mentioned that it initially started from Athibung and Jalukie block concentrating on malaria prone areas.
Dr. Limatula also stated that in Tening block LLIN had been distributed to the Jhum cultivators since it was not malaria endemic area. Dr. Ngangshimeren, handed over the LLIN to the 1st beneficiary, ASHA coordinator, Peren block.
