ICAR conducts farmers trg on ‘advance production’

Farmers training on “advance production and protection technology of summer vegetables” under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) programme was conducted by ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project on vegetable crops, Nagaland centre at department of Horticulture, NU SASRD on March 10. 
The objective of the training was to make local farmers aware about the improved farming practices of kharif vegetable crops for enhancing quality production. 
Training was attended by 34 farmers from four villages under Dimapur district- Zani, Domokhia, Urra and Bade. 
Welcome address was given by associate professor i/c HoD, dept. of Horticulture, Dr. Pauline Alila. Technical knowledge and field demonstrations were provided to the farmers by the project incharge, Dr. S. P. Kanaujia and other scientists of AICRP-VC, followed by wrap up and seed distribution of summer vegetables by associate professor, i/c TSP, AICRP-VC, Dr. C.S. Maiti.
