EAC Wokha and co-convenor of verification committee Athrong has informed all concerned public of Wokha district to set aside 30 (thirty) feet, i.e., 10 (ten) meters from the middle of NH 61 road for taking up any kind of building construction.
Reiterating an earlier order dated October 16, 2003 and the reminder issued on May 13, 2103, EAC said as per National Highway Act for Right of Way, NH-61 alignment was 60 feet, i.e., 20 (twenty) metres starting from KM 68/0 (Santsuphen) to KM 105/0 (Doyang Bridge).
EAC further informed that the construction permits would be issued by the DC’s office on the strength of recommendations/clearance made by Executive Engineer or SDO PWD NH division. In case of any violation of the said order, EAC said the owners of such buildings would have no right to claim compensation from the government.
