Hailstorm destroys jhum fields: PVC

Pessao Village Council has stated that the heavy rainfall coupled with hailstorm on April 21 destroyed crops, jhum cultivation fields.

In a press note, PVC chairman S.P. Chemang said the storm destroyed most of the jhum cultivation fields which has affected the villagers. PVC also said that rivers and streams were over flowing after the heavy rain fall.
