GCTC conducts ‘12th graduation ceremony’

Golden Crown Theological College held its “12th graduation ceremony” wherein14 graduates including seven students each were conferred certificates for B.Th and D.Th.
Delivering the graduation message, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur associate pastor-Yanbemo Ovung challenged the graduates to be effective apologists for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  GCTC director and principal, Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo, registrar Rev MK Dhar and academic dean Donwibou Pamai presented the awards, certificates to the graduates.  In the B.Th program, Merebeni Ovung received the awards for eight disciplines while in the D.Th program, Mhalamo Kikon and Teresa Zira received the academic award. In addition to the graduation programme, a thanksgiving service was held to acknowledge the blessings and hand of God towards the college. The service was held specifically for two reasons: state government’s recognition of both Theology and Music Department of the college and for accreditation by ATA, which connects GCTC to over 100 colleges in India and abroad.  Earlier, the programme was chaired by GCTC music director Avoni Odyuo and Asia Soul Winners director-Rev Khing, commissioned and prayed for the graduating students while North East India, FMPB zonal secretary-Rev Yecto Chophy, pronounced the benediction.  The GCTC Choir led by conductor Avoni Odyuo, presented three choral pieces and the GCTC Alumni also presented a special number.
