CCSU keeps protest in abeyance

May 13, 2016 | by admin

Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) on Thursday said it has resolved to keep in abeyance its ongoing phase-wise agitation at the state government’s proposal to discuss the issue. In a press release, CCSU president Imtichoba and speaker Nokching Somba said all restrictions imposed would be relaxed from May 13, 2016. However, the union affirmed that it would call for phase-IV agitation in the event of the failure from the state government on its served ultimatum. It, however, expressed confidence in the state government and its appointed mediators on the raised matter. Meanwhile, the union sought cooperation from the general public of Tuensang town and the Changs in particular.
