SETAN demands pending salary

May 14, 2016 | by admin

Asserting that the special education teachers (SETs) have been facing untold hardships for the past three years without salary, Special Education Teachers’ Association Nagaland (SETAN) has urged the state government to immediately release long pending salaries without any further delay. In a press release, SETAN president Kerihosa Natso accused the responsible authority of making “undue excuses and delay tactics in releasing of the salaries” despite written assurance to release the salary within one week vide notification dated April 27, 2016. SETAN has appealed the responsible authority to release the pending salaries latest by May 17, 2016, failing which, the association said it would initiate own course of action. It demanded that 21 months’ salary, which has already been sanctioned, be released at one go and not on installments basis.
