
Newly built Higher Secondary Block at St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Chumukidima was inaugurated by additional director, Geology and Mining, Thomas Kikon, and blessed by Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest applauded Rev. Fr. Sajan and his team for the successful and timely completion of the new school block. Thomas said the school was trying its best to provide the best infrastructure, quality and valuable education to students and urged the students to make use of the available facilities.
Quoting “what you are God’s gift to you and what you make of yourself is your gift to God”, Bishop exhorted the students to make a good gift of themselves through honesty and hard work and make their live enter the book of life.
Earlier, principal, Joseph’s Hr. Sec. school Chumukidima, Rev. Fr. Sajan, accorded the words of welcome to the chief guest and his wife, to the bishop and all the delegates by presenting mementos.
During the inauguration, the students of Class XII welcomed the gathering through welcome song and choreography. Relishi anchored the program and Rev. Sr. Anita Paul proposed the vote of thanks.
In the evening, Bishop blessed and inaugurated the newly constructed convent of Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels (FSMA) at Dimapur near Livingstone Higher Secondary School in the presence of Rev, Sr, Samina, provincial, FSMA, fathers, sisters, leaders and invited guests.
