AR constructs borewell at Longkhim village

Troops of Assam Rifles constructed a water supply scheme (borewell) at Longkhim village to supply potable water to villagers, an Assam Rifles press release here informed.

AR said the people were facing acute shortage of water while there has been a steep rise of water-borne diseases in the village due to unhygienic water sources. Water Supply Scheme (Borewell) will provide availability of safe drinking water to a large extent. 

The borewell was handed over to village Authority. Villagers expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the Assam Rifles for undertaking projects which address the requirements of local populace.
