Training on NVBDCP held for BACs, ASHAs

Training programme on malaria for BACs, ASHAs, and district community mobilize was conducted by CMO Kohima with District Health Society, department of Health & Family Welfare, NHM at CMO’s conference hall on June 14. 
The programme was chaired by DPO (DVBD), Dr. Benny Ao while technical session with power-point presentation was done by DVBD consultant, Sentimongla Walling. She informed the trainees that in lieu of anti-malaria month, the ASHAs were to carry-out activities of blood slide collection and reach out to the unreached areas as torch bearers of the community health service. 
She also highlighted the common signs and symptoms of malaria and its effect. The block ASHA co-ordinators (BACs) were informed to check their respective ASHAs monthly activities in order to render quality health services to the community. 
Group discussion along with practical session was also held wherein each ASHAs was given time to perform blood slide collection. Program officer, consultant, DVBD staffs, BACs and ASHAs under Kohima district attended the training.
