Shot fired near NP gate

Unidentified miscreants in a Mahindra Scorpio fired a shot in the air near the gate of Nagaland Post at Link Road(Nepali Basti) Thursday at around 9.02 p.m. Security staff of Nagaland Post rushed but the Scorpio, which had entered Link Road from Metro Hospital side, sped away towards Midland side. A complaint was lodged with police over the incident, which happened to be the first such in the vicinity. Police is expected to seriously probe any threat angle in the light of some complaints reported earlier. The incident has also exposed the vulnerability of public at the hands of armed miscreants in Dimapur.
