Peren, Kiphire DPDB meetings

District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Peren and Kiphire districts were held at their respective Deputy Commissioner (DC)’s conference hall.
Peren DPDB meeting for the month of July was held on July 7 and was chaired by DC Peren Zarenthung Ezung. During the meeting, sensitisation programme on HIV and AIDS was conducted where power point presentation was given by district ICTC supervisor Peren Ngauzeulungbe. 
Basics of HIV and AIDS and the district scenario of last financial year were presented before the members. It was also highlighted that though there had been a great improved treatment access for PLHIV, there was the increasing need for reducing vulnerability and risk, this  in stigma, and increase access to legal and social protection by the infected and affected population. 
DC Peren also requested the members to create more awareness and facilitate the PLHIVs to avail social protection. Chief medical officer, Ngangshimeren also shared to the members not to discriminate or stigmatize the people living with HIV and AIDS.
Earlier, the DC welcomed the newly posted officer Executive Engineer PHED Er. Vikura Khape. The meeting also reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussed the following agendas and decided to forward it to the department for further necessary action: upgradation of sub-centre to Primary Health Centre at Samziuram, registration of Jalukie Pumling Nko society and construction of waiting shed at Tri Junction Ngaulong.
The board also discussed Nagaland badminton association tournament which would be held in Peren district from August 24 with DC Peren as the convener for the tournament.
The proposal of the re-organisation of RD Block i.e. Jalukie Sangtam under Peren to Jalukie block was differed to next DPDB meeting.
The DC in a notification said submission of staff list should be completed at the earliest as directed by the CEO. It was also decided that the forth coming Independence Day programme would be held at Multi-disciplinary Outdoor sport complex (MDOSC) for which more inputs and co-operation were required from HoOs.
KIPHIRE: Monthly meeting of Kiphire DPDB was held on July 5 under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner and vice chairman DPDB Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro.
According to DIPR report, the chairmen welcomed all the members including new posted members. The board gave away the prizes to the meritorious students who secured the highest marks in Mathematics and Science amongst the students studying under Kiphire district in the HSLC Examination2016. Daniel Y. Rongli from Loyola Higher Secondary School Kiphire scored 94 in Mathematics, Yokhumcha from Little Flower School, Pungro scored 86 in Science.
The board discussed on repairing of damaged roof of GPS, Phisami which was submitted by SDEO Kiphire. The Board decided to forward the matter to the Government for necessary action. Proposal for transfer of Longtsunger Village to Pungro Administration is received from the villagers. Presently the village is under the administration of EAC Kiusam. 
The board discussed and felt that the matter needs more information from the administrative officer of the area, hence decided to write to the EAC Kiusamto present his views and observation in the next meeting.
Cooperation department made its presentation and PWD(R&B) department was asked to make departmental presentation in the next meeting.
