Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) organized programme on Village Health and Nutrition Day (VHND) at Pungro ICDS project on July 12 at Pungro village anganwadi centre “A”.
Delivering introductory speech, CDPO Pungro, N.R Lotha said that out of various ICDS schemes and services being laid down the village health and nutrition education was an important component which needs to impart and disseminate to the village community to bring about healthy life.
The meaning and importance of VHND was narrated to the participants by anganwadi worker, Kumkila in local dialogue. Earlier, invocation was said by Lusuchi and vote of thanks was proposed by VDB secretary, Kiukhenthong. Altogether 30 villagers including head gaon burah, GBs and Asha workers attended the programme.
