Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan says he was a changed man once he became a parent, a feeling that is very close to his heart. The 51-year old ‘Dhoom 3’ actor said children bring special happiness in the lives of parents and he experienced that when he had his first child, Junaid.
“It’s such a joy to have a child in your life. It’s something that really changes your life. I remember my mother used to tell me when I was a kid, ‘When you become a parent you’ll realise what it is to become a parent’,” Aamir told reporters today.
“When I had my first child, Junaid, it changed me, changed my life. But there are so many parents, people, so many single parents who are unable to have child…,” he added.
The actor was speaking at a special event of Jaslok Hospital to spread awareness about In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and surrogacy. Junaid is Aamir’s first child from his first wife.
