National tatar hoho session of the NPGN/NNC (N/A) was held on September 10 wherein discussions on the functioning of government and ongoing Indo-Naga political issues took centre stage.
A press note by MIP kilonser NPGN/NNC (N/A) N. Mar Ao stated that during the meeting the house made a four-point resolution. It resolved to stand firm on the May 16, 1951 Naga plebiscite and whatever decision made would be done after consultation with the entire stakeholders in the interest of Nagas in general.
It also resolved to work towards unity of entire Naga national political groups to bring under common platform so as to solve the long protracted Indo-Naga political problem in the spirit of unity and justice.
Its third resolution was not to compromise the sovereignty and integrity of the Nagas under any circumstances.
It also resolved to seek third party intervention if necessary so as to bring about permanent and fair settlement in the manner of justice as per the international court of law.
MIP stated that the house also unanimously elected KK Ducca as tatar hoho speaker of NPGN/NNC (N/A) with effect from September 10, 2016, to which the newly elected speaker expressed gratitude to the member for having trust on him and pledged to render his service for the welfare of the government and for the entire Naga citizen.
He also appealed the house to maintain the decorum of the house and encouraged the members to serve the nation in the spirit of justice and honesty as “service to men is service to God”.
Home kilonser also expressed satisfaction on the service of the speaker and appealed the house to cooperate with the new speaker and maintain transparency in all aspects for the upliftment and for the welfare of the Nagas in general.
MIP further stated that the house resolved to conduct half yearly audit on September 30 and in this regard all the assigned official/kilonser have been directed to submit the entire activity report and cash amount to the treasurer on or before September 27 without fail.
MIP also asked the individuals who had failed to attend the September 10 meeting to clarify their position on or before September 25 and failure to comply to this notice would initiate stern action as per the law of the land.
