ATMA demo & trg conducted at Bade

One day demonstration programme on ‘pest monitoring & surveillance in paddy field’ was conducted by ATMA-Dimapur, Dhansiripar block on September 16 at Bade village.

During the programme resource person, ATM Meciesenuo elaborated on field demonstration and to analyze field situation with regard to pests, predators, soil conditions, plant health, influence of climatic factors and pest management practices. The programme was chaired by BTM Moainla, while18 farmers attended the programme.

ATMA-Dimapur, Dhansiripar block also conducted one-day training and demonstration programme on ‘importance of micronutrients’ and ‘application of micronutrients’ on September 15 at Bade village.

Training on importance of micronutrients was conducted by resource person BTM, Moainla where she highlighted that micronutrients are essential for plant growth and play an important role in balanced crop nutrition which when used effectively corrects the deficiency symptoms and retains the crop green, healthy and productive, protects the crops from adverse weather conditions and resists the crops to fungal and bacterial diseases.

Meanwhile, demonstration on how to prepare micronutrient as spray solution, time of application either in the morning or evening hours and which plant part to apply was carried out by resource person ATM, Meciesenuo.

Altogether 28 farmers attended the programme, while micronutrients were also distributed to the farmers.
