Programme on “hand washing and sanitation” was conducted at Govt. High School Mon town C, sponsored by the World Vision India Mon, on September 16.
A press note by SMC chairman, Wekong Konyak and secretary, Elvis Konyak stated that the program was to impart health and sanitation education to the students coming from poor background.
A toilet constructed by World Vision India, Mon sponsored by Coca-Cola & NDTV was also inspected by the manager and his staff of World Vision India/Mon.
Students were provided with washing soaps, cake and cold drink by the World Vision India to start up with the proper hand washing and sanitation.
The works of the World Vision to uplift the poor children and downtrodden people in the rural areas in Mon was highly lauded by teachers and management committee.
Altogether 571 students and 30 staffs including World Vision and School Management Committee were present in the programme.
