In compliance with the direction of Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language the closing ceremony of Hindi Fortnight was celebrated in the office premises of Accountant General, Kohima, Nagaland on September 30 with the Heads of Department and members of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) .
Commencing the function, ‘Saraswati Vandana’ was presented by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kohima. Welcome Speech was given by Athikho Chalai, Chairman, TOLIC, Kohima and the message of Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas was read out by asst. dy. director of SIB, Kohima, Rajendra Kumar. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various completions held in various Central Government Offices during the Hindi Fortnight from September 16 to 27 and special numbers were presented by various staff of the central government departments. On the occasion of Hindi Fortnight Celebration, 14th Annual Hindi Magazine “NAGANCHAL” was jointly released by the Heads of Department.
Later, vote of thanks was proposed by ar.AO, 15 BRIE, Kohima, R.P. Shrivastava. The function concluded with Vande Mataram presented by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kohima. Various central government departments participated in the function.
