Global handwashing day at Pfutsero

Global hand washing day was observed on October 15 at Nazareth School, Pfutsero organized by PHED Phek division of WSSO, PHED Nagaland.

According to DIPR report, brand ambassador i/c Phek district, Vizopal Chaya encouraged the students to be agent of change for healthy society. He told them to wash hands with soap and cautioned all to prevent from littering the environment and advised the students to be an example so others could emulate them. He encouraged the students to participate actively in keeping the environment clean and lead a healthy lifestyle. The program was chaired by Tshete Koza, teacher, Nazareth School.Students presented welcome song and skit on hand wash and hygiene. A demonstration on hand wash was presented by Virhelie, sanitation and hygiene consultant. Principal, Fr. Dr. Philip Abraham S.J. appraised the gathering on the importance of cleanliness. Around 700 students attended the programme.
