
Monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board was held on November 7 at the conference hall of ADC Planning, Mokokchung. DC and vice-chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, who chaired the meeting asked the District Disaster Management Agency (DDMA) members to be vigilant and keep their mobiles on since the district has been experiencing incessant cyclonic rain for a couple of days.
According to DIPR report, taking a note on the response made by DDMA and DPDB members on May 1, 2016 disaster in Mokokchung district, DC also appealed the members to be alert and active and to inform him immediately for quick response from the district administration. DC also asked the officials of National Highways and Roads & Bridges Departments to update on the road condition in the district and urged them to keep the vehicular movement undisturbed by maintaining the roads.
A verification committee for Local Area Development Fund was also constituted in the meeting. The DC also informed the members that the next DPDB cum advent Christmas would be on December 7, 2016.
KIPHIRE: Kiphire District Planning & Development Board was held on November 5 at DC’s conference hall Kiphire, chaired by minister of Power and chairman DPDB Kiphire, Kipili Sangtam.
According to DIPR report, DC and vice-chairman DPDB welcomed all the members present and expressed his gratitude to minister of Power & chairman of DPDB Kiphire for his valuable presence. He also introduced the newly posted member district statistical officer, Akangjongshi Chang to the board.
Kipili reminded the house that most of the decisions taken by the DPDB get approved however, it remained static in the offices at the state level. He therefore, invited the concerned officers to be responsible and follow the DPDB approved proposals for further approval from the government. For the betterment of the district, the minister urged the members to approach him at any time without any reservation.
The resolution forwarded by the Home department to ENPO with regard to the banning of Sovereign Republic of Freeland was read out by the vice chairman for precautionary measures and public awareness. Environment, Forest & Climate Change department presented its activities report in the meeting to be followed by the department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry in the next DPDB meeting.
MANGKOLEMBA: Monthly Mangkolemba SDPB meeting was held on November 5 at ADC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of ADC Mangkolemba, Imtiwapang Aier. He expressed his sincere thanks to all the members for the success of the inter range volley-ball tournament. SDO (C) Alemyapang Longchar shared about his experiences he has come across while distributing supply rice-the Food Security Act at Longchem. The public including that of the village councils were asked to transfer their SBI accounts to SBI Mangkolemba. To guide and to know the status of schools in the sub-division, the ADC asked the SDEO to constitute a Village Education Coordination Committee.
PEREN: Peren DPDB meeting was held on November 7 under the vice chairmanship and DC, Zarenthung Ezung. Chairman welcomed all the members present and newly posted officers namely DPO, Land Resources, Puthuto Natso, Imliwapang Imchen GM, DIC and R. Mhonlumi Yanthan, Vice Principal GHSS, Peren.
CMO, Dr. Meren gave a power point presentation on district health unit under Peren district where he mentioned that there was only one district hospital, one CHC, eight PHCs and sixteen sub-centres in the district. District hospital Peren has 50 bedded hospital with around 3307 OPD cases reported during the last 6 months (April to September) Sericulture and Horticulture presented their departmental activities while the department of PHE, DIC and Soil have been asked to present their department activities in the next meeting.
