Mock drill to be conducted at Wokha

District administration and the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) would be conducting a mock drill on December 20. An earthquake and fire scenario would be simulated during the exercise.
According to DIPR report, the mock drill would be to review the adequacy and efficacy of the district disaster management plan and highlight roles and responsibilities of various emergency functionaries. It was also to assess the effective response of authorities in mobilizing resources, working of emergency communications and community response  to be evaluated. 
The selected locations are NST Junction, PWD Colony and Police Point. Mock drill would be conducted between 10 a.m and 1 p.m. Citizens of Wokha town have been requested not to panic or be alarmed by the sounds of siren and movement of personnel & ambulances and extend full co-operation to make the exercise a success.
