Losami Students’ Union (LSU) held its 55 session-cum-28 fresher’s meet on January 5 under the theme “excel beyond boundary” at Losami village under Phek district.
General secretary NPF Phek division, Wepe Mekrisuh was the resource person.
Wepe said in order to “excel beyond boundary,” there was a need to renew certain dimensions of our nature. Firstly, physical dimension which involved caring effectively for our physical body, eating the right kinds of food, getting sufficient rest and relaxation, and exercising on a regular basis as one needed endurance, flexibility and strength in life to excel, Wepe stated.
Secondly, he said a spiritual dimension was the core commitment to our value system adding that though spiritual renewal takes time, investment would deeply empower one’s life to the value of harmony. He said mental development and study discipline comes through formal education.
Wepe also said continuous reading and writing vitally renews and expands the mind and that it was extremely valuable to train the mind and read broadly and to expose one to great minds. He added that it was most necessary to renew social and emotional dimensions for exclusive development of present generation.
