ERKSU celebrates 25th anniversary

Eastern Region Khiamniungan Students Union (ERKSU) celebrated its 25th anniversary with the theme “envision for concord existence through education” on January 6 to 8 at Tsonniu village with the member of parliament Yangon region, Daw Sandar Minn as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandar Minn applauded the office bearers for taking the hardship and to organized the occasion. He said students play a vital role in making the society function smoothly. 
He congratulated the ERKSU and wished that the union go another milestone to achieve the golden goal. 
Though Nagas are gifted in every field, Sandar Minn lamented that due to lack of development somehow they were left behind. However, he said that Nagas should work together and pursue quality education to be at par with others.
Meanwhile the inaugural programme was chair by A. Nathan and Kunniu Khiam. Short speeches were delivered by special guest general secretary KTC, Puchai PM and president NSO, Y. Khomong. Welcome address was given by president ERKSU, L. Patun, while special song was presented by former Ehou keh band vocalist, Nokyen Shiu. The programme began with the invocation by pastor Lamnyah and benediction by pastor Pukha.
