Upholding the rights and dignity of Naga customs and traditions, the Nagaland GBs Federation (NGBF) has appealed all sections of people including the mandated legislators and tribal apex Hohos to create a common platform for amicable solution of the present crises in Nagaland.
In a press release, NGBF president Shalem Konyak and general secretary Shikuto Zalipu expressed pain over ULB election that led to “chaos and unrest” in Nagaland. NGBP has also condemned the incident and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. Federation also stated that it would be wise to understand the gravity of the issue and act upon it in the future since for any arson it was the innocent public who suffered the most. NGBP termed no issues were immune from amicable solution, thereby federation has appealed for peaceful and constructive dialogue to all concern public, government and forums to solve the on-going crisis in a peaceful manner and refrain from violence. NGBP further informed all GBs in Nagaland not to encourage or involve in violent activities but to promote peace and harmony and prevent outside forces to interfere and escalate the issue beyond repair.
